Martin Seiler alias Seili left us forever

What a sad news hit the snowboarding community another time. Martin Seiler alias Seili was found dead in an avalanche, after having been missed for 1.5 days.

Like so many times before, he left his car in a carpark in Wasenalp/Berisal, and left for a hike with his splitboard… he knew the region, his snowboarding skills are insane, and yet, we never know what nature reserves us !

Martin, we’re so lucky to have met you 6 years ago, we’re so greateful to have eternised you in our 7sky Magazine in 2011. With your 23 years of age and your life-views, you have inspired us greatly. You were definitely one of the nicest guys we’ve interviewed in our life ! Each time we met, you were so warmhearted, so open, and you shared your love and joy with anyone crossing your path. Today, we think about your family and your friends, about all the people who came in the pleasure of meeting you ! You are leaving a hole, dearest Martin !!! Far beyond the snowboard scene… But we also do know that you are safe, that something bigger than our earthly bodies, totally connected to all there is, has decided for you to take this path. To change your form… We do know that you are ok, that you have entered the big whole again, which is made out of love and consciousness… the place we all come from, and go back to. One day, we’ll meet up there again, Seili, let’s call it home, and until then, we also know that you’ll watch over your family and friends, the snowboarding community, and that you are now with all those who have left us much too early (in our earthly understandings). And for your family, I heard this very intense interview with the mom of the freeskier Sarah Burke who lost her daughter due to a severe fall on her head : « I always thought that the hardest thing that can happen to a parent is losing his child. Today, I can say, that the hardest thing that can happen to a parent, would be, not to have known his child. » With you, Seili, with love and gratefulness ! R.I.P.
